College Football Hall of Fame

Overview

TheĀ College Football Hall of Fame is a premier attraction in Atlanta that attracts visitors from around the country. They needed a site that showed the fun of the attraction while expressing the gravity of visiting a college football game. This included large animation pieces, big menus and bold areas. The large mega menu, shifting mobile menu, and interactive inductees section really drove that over the goal line.

Main Menu

The hall of fame was planning on growing fast with constantly changing interactive pieces at the location as well as the need to notify the public of events. Instead of having multiple menu items or a menu that tiers we introduced a wide mega-menu that had customizable sections. Each section could include a list of links, images, a mini slider, and more.

Inductees List

The inductees list acting as a list of those inducted into the hall of fame but also as a timeline from college football itself. The interactive list allows the user to scroll through the inductees list. If they hover over a section it expands slightly. Selecting an inductee slides up an info box with more details about that player with options to share the player on social media. The user can also use a search function, with box that autofills as they type, if they know which player they are looking for.

Mobile Menu

The menu transforms into a slide out menu that shifts the whole site over rather than overlaying the site. Each main area needed for mobile is shown with icons with the other areas shown with a “+” symbol so the user knows they can expand the area for more options.
