Unique Homepage Slider
The homepage slider places up to 4 small thumbnails in the bottom right corner. Hovering over a thumbnail provided a short description. Selecting an option changed the slider. When not hovered over the slider auto changed using a fade effect showing the active thumb with a read border and slightly elevated.
About Page
History and approach is important to a company as old asĀ Trane. We used wide images with minimal text to show the power and strength of the company. Each section had an option to go to a details page. To ensure easy access the about menu slid with the user at all times.
Language Menu
The site was translated into a wide variety of languages. We provided a large menu that pushed the whole site out of view from the top. The user could select their language and be taken to a specified landing page.
Large Main Menu
Trane has a massive amount of product data for their users. To avoid deep clicking we broke their content into chunks. The main menu provided the highest level of this break down with a secondary option when selected. The secondary option displayed a set of related links for the user to dig directly into what they needed without going down the wrong path. An unsure user could use a section category to start at a higher level if needed.
